Simona Mulazzani was born in Milan and now lives in Pesaro, Italy. She is an adored children’s book artist in Italy, and now America has come to appreciate her charming work. Simona has illustrated over 100 adult and children’s books for international publishers. In 2005 she received a silver medal from the Society of illustrators, followed by second Silver Medal in 2013 from the Original Art Show for her illustrations in the book, “I Wish I Had.” Simona was awarded the Andersen prize, the most prestigious Italian children’s book award, for the best book of 0/6 years in 2008 and as Best Illustrator in 2016. In 2007 and 2011 her books were chosen for the White Ravens – an international book award that is given to books that deserve worldwide attention because of their universal themes and/or their exceptional and innovative artistic style. Her works have been exhibited in numerous personal and collective exhibitions both in Italy and abroad.
