International Women’s Day

Happy International Women’s Day! Morgan Gaynin is a female-founded, female-run agency and we’re proud to celebrate our many women artists. Today, we’re taking the opportunity to spotlight seven amazing women illustrators who joined our group this past year! Read on below to learn about these artists’ unique backgrounds and specialties.

Naysa Dumé is an artist based in the Dominican Republic with a style inspired by music, diversity, and celebration. She uses expressive linework and color to create lively characters in imaginative worlds. Naysa is experienced with editorial, picture book publishing and local hand-painted murals too!

Beatriz Ortiz is a Cuban photo collage illustrator based in Brazil whose style is especially vibrant, fresh, and uplifting. She has experience with editorial and advertising clients and has also collaborated with animators to put her work in motion. 

Ana Gaman, an illustrator based in Luxembourg, creates bright, uplifting illustrations which she often brings to life through playful animation. Inspired by nature, introspection, and the individuality of people, she brings a sense of modernity and positivity to her projects.

Ismani Sun is an Atlanta-based artist whose illustrations celebrate her rich African American heritage and the colorful and magical elements of our world. With five beloved picture books already under her belt, Ismani’s dynamic illustrations have captured the imaginations of both children and adults everywhere. 

Yiran Jia is a New Jersey-based illustrator whose work is heavily influenced by traditional printmaking and etching. She specializes in subjects of nature, science, sci-fi, and fantasy, and her style and color palette resembles cyberpunk and retro-futurism.

Yevgenia Nayberg is an illustrator, painter, and set and costume designer originally from Kyiv, Ukraine and now based in NYC. She has received multiple awards for her picture book illustrations, which feature curious, quirky characters and stories which explore culture. 

 
Last but not least, Kristine Lombardi is the latest addition to our group. Kristine began her career as an art director in advertising and promotions, and is now focused on creating hand-painted artwork for products, homewares and packaging, as well as writing and illustrating children’s books
