Kevin and Kristen are a husband-wife team based in Kansas City. They’re the parents to four children, their newest born in 2023. Together, they have been illustrating for over 15 years and run The Brave Union studio, specializing in children’s book illustration, editorial illustration, poster work, animation development, and educational material.
In the times between kids’ sports and deadlines, Kevin enjoys fly fishing for trout and is teaching Kristen and the kids the art as well. Kevin and Kristen say that they’re not the most “flashy” family, but they like to think that they’re really good at making beautiful children and illustrations.
